Apple can be on the verge of a great change in the way the company called software updates – and this is an approach that can be familiar to anyone who is familiar with Windows 95 or ’57 Chevy. Bloomberg said Apple rebranding the operating systems using Apple’s last two digits of the next year. Thus, when the current iOS 18, 2025 will be replaced by iOS 26, not iOS 26.
A representative for Apple did not respond immediately to comment.
Bloomberg, names of additional updates, Macos 26, Watcho 26, TVOS 26 and Visionos 26, Visionos 26, Visionos 26, Hope is to bring the sequence and confusion with Apple’s brand. Bloomberg notes that IOS 18, Watchos 12, MacOS 15 and VisionOs 2, including different operating systems, use different numbers.
The company is expected to change names and more signigraphers in the conference of World Developers on June 9.
Interestingly, the story of Bloomberg did not create any words about changing the name of the iPhones. The iPhone model of the existing iPhone is on the iPhone 16. IPHONE 17 is expected to be announced in September, but there is no word that it is called iPhone 26 more than iPhone 17.
The new number of numbers reflect the last two digits in 2026, more than 2026, 2026, 2026. Samsung and Microsoft used both year-based naming systems.
